Alliance News: Help Build the Northside Temporary Greenway

Amazing things happen when people come together. The Grand Opening of the Northside Temporary Greenway is just a couple months away and we need your help! Please indicate if you are interested in volunteering at any of the events by filling out this brief survey:

1. ASSEMBLY PARTY: Grab your tools, roll up your sleeves, and let’s start building! Help put together the street furniture – such as hammocks, tables, benches, tetherball game, etc. – that will be on the Temporary Greenway. 
   

   Date: Tuesday, June 7 (Rain date: Wednesday, June 8) – dinner will be provided
   Time: 5:00 – 8:00 p.m.
   Location: On/near Folwell Park

2. PRE-PAINTING OF BASE COLORS: Help paint a base layer of a series of street murals that will be developed by residents and community members in collaboration with Juxtaposition Arts.
   

   Date: Saturday, June 11 (Rain date: Saturday, June 18) – lunch will be provided
   Time: 10:00 – 12:00 p.m.
   Location: 3000 – 3500 blocks of Irving Ave N

3. GRAND OPENING: Join the Northside Greenway Council to paint the pavement on the Temporary Greenway and celebrate the grand opening of the Greenway with family-friendly activities, music, and food!
   

   Date: Saturday, June 25 (If it rains, alternate date: Sunday, June 26)
   Time: 1:00 – 6:00 p.m. (Volunteer shifts will broken up into early and late afternoon.)
   Location: 3000 – 3500 blocks of Irving Ave N
