Navigating the Intersections: How We Experience Mobility
Monday, May 7, noon – 1:30 pm

Hope Community Center
611 E Franklin Ave, Minneapolis, MN 55404
(Easy access to Metro Transit Route 2, bike parking available, ADA accessible space)

Communities encounter different risks and have different needs as they move through the metro region. Hear from local leaders who experience transportation in a variety of ways and participate in breakout discussions to share your own stories and strategies for getting around our region while facing racism, classism, ableism, sexism, ICE, xenophobia, homophobia, and other forces of oppression.

Please register here.

The Alliance’s 2018 Actualizing Equity Brown Bag Lunch Series will dive into each section covered by Our A.R.E.A.: the Alliance Regional Equity Agenda, a living document that moves toward reclaiming “equity” by outlining visions and strategies for the development of a truly just Twin Cities region. Local leaders will join us in exploring and discussing the ways the following issue areas intersect with our multifaceted identities and the historical struggles of our communities.

We’ll have some snacks, but this is a brown bag lunch event – bring food for yourself if you think you’ll be hungry!
