Alliance News: Announcing the Stops for Us Video
We would like to announce the release of the Stops for Us video, now available on You Tube. This video celebrates the successful local campaign that led to a change in national transit policy. The addition of 3 station stops along St. Paul’s Central Corridor (now called the Green Line) light rail transit project created a critical transit access point for low-wealth, communities of color along University Avenue. It also prompted the Federal Transit Administration to alter its national “performance measures” criteria, which gave equal weight to considerations like economic development, environmental sustainability and social benefit.
