Dear Alliance members, community partners, and supporters:
On behalf of the Board of Directors, I want to share some recent developments from The Alliance.
After many years with the organization, joo hee pomplun has decided to step down from their role as Executive Director. We are grateful for joo hee’s leadership and contributions to the important work of the Alliance, and wish them all the best in their next chapter.
We are meeting this moment of change with a powerful, united team. Our board is working closely with staff and external partners to ensure organizational stability and strong coordination across our diverse bodies of work. The Alliance’s coalitions remain fully staffed with experienced organizers who continue to advance our campaigns to fight displacement and advocate for the policies and investments our communities need to thrive. Our member-based model of shared leadership and coalition organizing continues to guide our path as we navigate the transition to new leadership.
The Alliance’s work remains firmly grounded in our mission to build power across the intersections of geography, race, culture, and issues in the Twin Cities region to eliminate systems of oppression and advance our collective liberation.
From all of us at The Alliance, we thank your support and partnership.
Sincerely,
Kadra Abdi, Chair
The Alliance Board of Directors
