Stable Ground launches
We’re excited to announce the launch of Stable Ground: Building Organizational Power for Housing Justice!
Stable Ground is an organizational capacity-building program facilitated by The Alliance with the goal of strengthening the ecosystem of BIPOC-led and centered organizing throughout the Twin Cities region. Through a community-led review committee process, organizations were selected to receive $50k to support their work and to participate in an organizing learning cohort.
Our inaugural organizing cohort includes five community organizations:
- African Career Education and Resource Inc. (ACER)
- Anything Helps
- Aurora St. Anthony Neighborhood Development Corporation
- Phumulani
- Pueblos de Lucha y Esperanza
Through this program, we will support organizing and advocacy aimed at pursuing systems changes that increase housing stability and prevent homelessness for people across the seven-county Twin Cities region.
The cohort will be focusing on learning:
- Deepening engagement with communities
- Building community leadership
- Navigating housing systems, influencing key decision-makers and institutions
- History of structural racism and inequities in our housing system
- Developing organizing and advocacy strategies for housing justice
We look forward to sharing more updates on Stable Ground with you in the future!
